Hello everybody,
I'd like to make a suggestion concerning the "sequential modules".
It is really very frustrating to be blocked on a puzzle, sometimes for months, preventing progression in this type of contests. It is especially true for the isolated puzzlers.
Frustrating also for the author who's work can only be seen and admired by a small number of puzzlers.
My suggestion is to free somehow the access to all the puzzles of a contest, let's say after one or two months of the beginning of the game, or immediately after it has been completed.
Thank you.

On many occasions, one gets stuck in a train of thought and a word or two in the forum is often enough to clear the brain and start you down a new route to the solution.

Many sequential contests have increasing levels of difficulty so if you are stumped in round one, it is unlikely that you will fare any better with puzzles in round five. Also in a sequential contest some puzzles may refer back to previous ones or, indeed, may give an answer to an earlier one, thus ruining the contest.
There are many non-sequential contests for you to complete such as the Festive Fun/Summertime Special series or the recently released Valentine as well as the semi-sequential Trifle Trivial trio. However, sequential or not, the aim should be to solve all the puzzles and not just leave those you can't get - feel free to post for hints on the relevant forum and see how much help you get. |
