At 21:00 GMT on Monday 6th March 2006, we will be launching Diabolically Nasty Brainteasers. This is a sequential contest spanning 4 rounds, and written by dnbmathguy. Be prepared for some fiendishly diabolical teasers that will have a nasty effect on you brain! _________________ Is sloppiness in speech caused by ignorance or apathy?

9PM
What is it with people starting contests off so late? Some of us have to be in work the next day!
Looking forward to it,
Clare |

That's a good question. The reason is that we (xyphic and I) are unable to make certain changes to the site from work. As such the contests have to begin when at least one of us is at home in case anything goes wrong. As for 9pm (rather than say 7pm), that is so that people have time to eat before getting down to the serious business!

For some of us - that is unbelievably early!
I think 9pm (your time) is a fair time for all! Same time as most of the comps have started around here!
Looking forward to the comp! |

Would that be anything to do with the fact that you then get a whole day to work on it, while those of us in the UK only get about 3 hours before bed?
(Actually I'm only joking of course - it's probably as good a compromise as we're going to get what with all the different parts of the world you have to cater for )
PS Looking forward to the contest It'll be nice to have a warmup before the Labyrinth gets underway |

I'm looking forward to it. Although, according to the title, I think I won't get very far. First I have a week of Holiday to give my brains some rest. They are still boiling from the Trivial Movie Premiere. So I'll start one week later... |

Hmm, isn't he indeed the guy that likes the puzzles with math in it? I never was that good at math... But I will sure give the Brainteasers a try! Looking forward to it! _________________ Sinterklaascontest live! |

Just in case you needed it, a reminder for tonight's (or this afternon's or this morning's, depending on where you are) contest. Enjoy!
