Found this site in a roundabout way due to an addiction to the BBC's LBQ. Some shameless entry from Chris Ford advertised his www.theLBQ.co.uk and a visit there revealed a posting from the infamous Si Griffin (also of LBQ fame!) mentioning Puzzletome.
Haven't looked back since (well, it's only been a week!) - I only wish I had come across it earlier (like when everyone else was stuck on round one!). It's very lonely being a tail-ender.
Great site, much enjoyed thus far, grey matter has never been so tested in years - thanks guys.
And a quick mention to the very charitable Breezycollie and Father Christmas (are you from Bristol, by the way?) for their kind and generous assistance.
Off on holiday for a week 8) , and suspect I will be suffering withdrawal symptoms very soon... _________________ Banging one's head against the wall seldom results in the answer falling out. |

We've been seeing a fairly constant rise in new memberships this last few weeks - I'd be interested to know if any of that is down to the mention on the magazine monitor section (Si's riddle of the week) of the BBC news website. If you did join as a direct result of that, then please leave a post here. Thanks! _________________ Puzzletome - Confusion now hath made his masterpiece! |

Yep, I joined because of Si's Riddle of the Week, and I say thankyou to the forums, as they have helped me to get to where I am today (which is stuck). _________________ Not the evil twin. |

Hey Si,
My step sister lives in the UK and loves the BBC news website and has just started getting hooked on the puzzles, not sure if she has joined up to puzzletome yet, but she said to say Kudos for them they are pretty good.
Might just have to check them out myself when I find time
Keep up the good work

Cheers for the feedback!
My brief with the BBC is to appeal to a wide audience, so don't expect them to be any harder than a round 1 puzzle. _________________ Puzzletome - does exactly what it says on the tin |

I'm here after following the reference from BBC Online's Riddle Of The Week, too. And addicted! |

As I mentioned elsewhere, I too found this site through Si's BBC Riddle, though your comment that none of your puzzles there are harder than round 1 ones here makes me slightly nervous - I thought some of them were pretty involved (like the alien and his wife...).
Slightly off-topic, would I be right in guessing that this week's BBC riddle has a lot to do with international events of the last week, what with there being 20 things that went a particular way...? |

That was a possible exception

I like to be topical when I can... however most of the news is too depressing to write puzzles about these days _________________ Puzzletome - does exactly what it says on the tin |

Actually having worked out a couple of the answers, I realise it's not quite what I thought - I was swayed by seeing 20 answers to work out, and there being 20 'things' which turned blue last week, if that is not giving anything away. Work yet to be done then... |

I'm here through the BBC too, although now I spend so much time stumped on puzzles here I haven't actually done the BBC ones in a while |

Via Google.
Me and a friend wanted to start a (dutch) forum on foreign puzzlequests. We knew of the existence of Net Riddle (and other CNR quests) and Puzzle Donkey, so we guessed there should be more quests.....
And now I'm here.... puzzled and puzzling |

BBC Riddle Of The Week/Si brought me here. The puzzles are certainly different. I registered yesterday and currently at 1.2 - Spots Before Your Eyes Suppose I've plenty of times but I may have some moments along the way. _________________ If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests ? |

No 'trickery' involved there then, just spoilers. _________________ Lead on adventurer, your quest awaits. |
