never noticed this before, but if eg 10 people have guessed 'answer' and you guess 'Answer' it says it's the first guess.
that must be why i always get 1st guesses |

I'd never noticed that, either...LOL!
But rest assured that in general you don't need to worry about case sensitivity - "example", "Example" and "EXAMPLE" would all be accepted as correct if that was an answer (which it isn't, before anyone goes off trying "example" for every single puzzle...LOL!).

Yes. What happens is that any answer submitted and its related actual answer get converted to lower case before they are compared (where case sensitivity is not required, that is - but if it matters you will be specifically informed). However, that conversion to lower case ONLY applies to the comparison. Everything is stored in the database as entered.
