I'd say perfect coordination - after all, the phrase is "Quick March!" and we want to keep you busy. |

Ouch.. I somehow missed this thread.
Well, this time AEnigma mini game which starts at 8PM might last a tiny bit longer than the previous "hangman" one. So 30 min might be a bit short I'm afraid. Will PM Chantilly asap to see if it's possible to do something about it. |

Didn't you know all puzzlers can multi-task? It will be fun combining the two so I wouldn't worry. |

If you say so. You are the experienced ones
I'm pretty new to all this.
Would have been better to have both on different evenings I thought. Anyway, it's probably too late to make any change now.
Hope it will work fine for everyone |

At the risk of sounding either crotchety or like an overprotective parent, I'd like to comment.
Two (or possibly three) puzzles to work on simultaneously? Not a bad problem to have, nor an unfamiliar one for those of us who joined the puzzling community late.
I swear on my Little Orphan Annie decoder ring that I will not take it as a personal affront if anyone decides not to do my contest on its opening night. In fact, I would prefer that solvers actually take the time to work through the puzzles, rather than rushing to get done so they can move on (or back) to the next riddle.
I'm tempted to say that I expect that my contest could be completed in an afternoon or evening. Recent experiences, though, have made me want to re-think that sort of claim I will say, however, that in my opinion Aenigma is to Sing Who You See as the Voynich manuscript is to Where's Waldo? in terms of difficulty.
Finally, the release of Sing Who You See has already been rescheduled a few times, so I was eager to just get it out the door. It is a bit unfortunate that all the releases are so close together, but as I said before, that's not a bad problem to have. I'm with Harry on this one--mine can be a nice break while your subconscious is working on more challenging puzzles. _________________ The ABCDeRS |

I don't know... you wait for ages and then three come along together...
(and "Sing" should segue nicely into "Say") |

Medral announced his contest well before the others.
"Say What" was orginally planned to be released on the 1st. However, as Medral pubicised his before we had posted any trailers, we simply shoved ours back a week.
As yours wasn't advertised until a couple of days after "Say What", why couldn't you have just delayed yours by a fortnight.
On the basis that you wanted it released sooner rather than later, given your claim that it will fall quickly (which I doubt with "yul seal" purporting to represent "you see") why didn't you just release it a day earlier?
Like Harry says, it's not a prolbem... it's just a strange decision. |

I think you answer your own question here, unless Rick Monday is much more famous than I expect. _________________ The ABCDeRS |

A couple of quick points:
1. Two simultaneous contests is perfectly possible. It has happened several times before, I'm sure it'll happen again. It won't detract from either contest and it's not a big deal.
2. People on this site may not have realised, but there is actually a forum on HTPO where you can advertise puzzle contests - see here. If you don't let other puzzle sites know you're running a contest, then how can you complain when another puzzle contest gets scheduled for the same time?
