Virtually every forum has a private section for the admins to discuss things. PT has one, Murphyz has one, HTPO has one... you get the point.

You sure? HTPO and PT definitely count posts in hidden forums, I think murphyz does as well.

Murphyz certainly does (I know that having been in on several private forums there). The main reason for that is that both Murphyz and Puzzletome are powered by phpbb (PHP Bulletin Board) which makes no distinction between private and public forums for post count. It would be possible, I suppose, but calculating who can see which counts would add loads of unnecessary processing. In any case, I like having 2500+ posts. In all that I'm bound to have said something sensible. Smile

Ah. I admin a vBulliten site, and there you can set a forum to not add to the postcount. I just assumed it was a common feature.

I think there's a hack for phpbb (I visit another site where they have it in place). I never really thought about it for puzzletome, and it's probably a bit late now!

Actually Loopy and I originally had phpBB hacked to do that then something happened and it reverted back. But now I don't care as we have an award for those who post lots. 1000 posts

At 850 you will get something to brag about. Mind you, wait until you see what awaits you at 950! Surprised

Don't worry... you're not alone here. Several members of the female persuasion have gone through that stage (T22 being the trailblazer). I can tell you that there are some female-biased ranks later on, but you may have to do quite a bit of posting to get there. Smile Although, of course, like all the others they're not very complimentary. Very Happy
